Ham radio is a hobby of 100 other hobbies. Membership in the Central NH Amateur Radio Club (CNHARC) is open to anyone interested in amateur radio, licensed or not, and anyone who wishes to support our repeater systems. At last count we have about 122 members from the Central NH/Lakes Region area. Thanks to a very active membership driving many special interest groups, to say that we have a vibrant club is an understatement. Recent group activities and meetings from the past year alone have included:
- POTA (Parks on the Air)
- Field Day with on-site Elmering
- Antenna systems and tower construction
- Member antenna raising parties
- Joint events with other local clubs
- DX’ing techniques
- Multi-operator/multi-transmitter RFI reduction techniques
- Group ownership of repeater training, building and maintenance
- Ham-related IT systems
- Local sled dog races
- General Elmering (coaching) and FCC-recognized VE exam testing
- DMR soon including radio programming seminars
- Yaesu Fusion and wide area repeater networks
- SDR radios and remote operation
- And an excellent multi-club Christmas party
We offer both Individual and Family memberships. Our yearly membership fees are due on June 1st of each year. There is a two month grace period for new members joining shortly before the start of a new membership year. The grace period begins on April 1st.
Basic Individual Memberships are $15.00, Family Memberships are $20.00.
Become a Repeater Sustaining Member (RSM) When you join or renew as a Repeater Sustaining Member, $25.00 of your membership fee will go directly towards maintaining and improving our system of repeaters. Our Repeater Sustaining Members are instrumental in keeping radio communications flowing in Central New Hampshire and beyond.
Individual/RSM memberships are $40.00, Family/RSM memberships are $45.00.
