I have a KX2 (S/N 01563) ail used entirely indoors. It includes after market end plates/handles with heat sink. Also detachable key pad, dust cover, plexiglass stand for desktop use and Elecraft hand mike (not in picture). All manuals included. There is internal space for a 4XAA battery holder which I didn’t get preferring an external power source. The battery holder is available from Elecraft as is a rechargeable battery pack and internal charger (new products). Originally you had to open the unit and remove the batteries for replacement or recharge.The internal charger requires only the normal 12-14VDC power. Again, this option is not included.
